Hello!
I'm going to try and push the community creation of texture packs for NFC -
If enough are created, a possible competition could ensue with (cheap) prizes hell yeah.

I'm going to try and push the community creation of texture packs for NFC -
If enough are created, a possible competition could ensue with (cheap) prizes hell yeah.
The rules for a texture pack being """completed""" will be:
- Terrain.png is completely recreated with no default textures left on it.
- All NFC blocks are completely recreated with no textures from Zowja or the vanilla textures.
- Additional modifications such as to the items.png file will give you bonus points but entering a pack with the vanilla png file is fine.
- The size of the texture pack is up to you, you can find several up-sized vanilla packs here: www.mediafire.com/file/5job0p44w5j6bvp/All_Minecraft_default_HD_textures.rar which are useful as templates. (Sadly there are no packs above 162x or under 16x but you're welcome to enter packs with other resolutions).
Guidelines:
- "Simple" or "OCD" packs are welcome, but please don't quickly create an 8x8 FPS pack by downsizing vanilla textures in an hour, there currently isn't a time frame so don't feel rushed. Once a significant amount of packs are within completion, a date will be decided. These things take time so don't feel forced to go the easy route. Really try and avoid 4x4 and 1x1 texture packs as there simply isn't enough space to create something recognizable.
- If possible try and stick to the theme of NFC and 1.7 beta, making a sci-fic pack where animals are all robots and the grass is an alien planet blue does require knowledge and talent but might be overlooked. Something like a magically inspired medieval pack which doesn't necessarily fit the NFC industrialized style is more than OK as the point of a texture pack is to fit a new style of your choice, rather than to change an item into something else (tldr; changing pigs into armoured boars, OK. Turning pigs into marshmallows with smiley faces, eh...). Although if everyone creates a medieval pack it will make switching between the low amount of packs that have NFC support stale.
- Feel free to not follow the guidelines, they are simply advice that could be meaningless if what you create is fantastic. Guidelines are basically just rules you can bend or ignore.
