New Frontier Craft - The Early Days
The Early Days is an archive of the older versions of NFC, spanning between the creation of the first version of NFC on April 27th, 2014, NFC Beta 1.7.4, to NFC Beta 1.8.1, released on December 10th, 2014.
To find later legacy versions of New Frontier Craft (1.8.4+), check out this page
Recommended addons for use with these versions
- SkinFixUni (As NFC did not yet fix skins yet) www.mediafire.com/file/997zlff4ix3bz68/SkinFixUni_v1.0.zip/file
- How Many Items (a clone of JEI for Beta 1.7.3) www.mediafire.com/file/h65nvl0ijk31d6x/b1.7.3_HowManyItems_v4.1.1.zip/file
- Depth Buffer Fix (Fixes jaggy lines, compatible with 1.7.4 - 1.8.0_03) www.mediafire.com/file/6e2qutxkbhuzbrb/Depth_Buffer_Fix_Beta_1.7.3.zip/file (Special version for 1.8.1 can be found under 1.8.1 section)
If you're attempting to use these versions of NFC with MultiMC, there is no special install process that is needed like in the more modern versions of New Frontier Craft. You can just setup a b1.7.3 instance and add the ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, and NFC files to the Minecraft.jar via the "Add to Minecraft.jar" button you can find in the instance window.
If not using MultiMC, install them as you would any other mod for the older versions of the game.
If you're looking for the old versions of the more modern versions of NFC (non-ModLoader based), then check this page
For additional content and context to some of these early versions, it is recommeded to watch the earlier videos on Zowja's old personal channel www.youtube.com/user/Quistones/videos
New Frontier Craft - 1.7.4 (The first version)
New Frontier Craft's first ever version, and it was a very simple mod for Minecraft at this point. The only new items added were the stone bricks and the cooked egg, with the only other notable feature being the fact that NFC reverted the cobblestone texture to the one used by MC from Classic 0.0.14a to Beta 1.6.6.

New Frontier Craft - 1.7.5
The only thing added to this version from 1.7.4 is the fact that ores were made 32x rarer and that the veins they spawn in are 4x to 8x larger. So mining around will be both more, and less rewarding.

New Frontier Craft - 1.7.6
As hinted at in the video that Zowja made for 1.7.5, added in the new ores and items that are generally associated with NFC.
As 1.7.6 is the same as 1.7.7, just without Multiplayer support, it has been decided that 1.7.6 will be omitted from the archive.
Additions made in this version:
- Aluminum
- Copper
- Tin
- Zinc
- Nickle
- Bismuth

New Frontier Craft - 1.8.0_03
Release Trailer:
Basics of the 1.8.0 Update:
This update is the one that really turns NFC what it is today. All ore items have had block versions of themselves added to the game, as well as tools. The ore system will define the rest of the 1.8.X versions for years to come afterwards, with the only major changes being that the ore system was nerfed to be much more accessible in 1.8.5.
Also, cheese ore. This block has been removed from modern versions of NFC, but exists back in this version. It drops the food item Moldy cheese, which can be cooked in a furnace to create the Cheese item. Both can be eaten.
Also of note, there is an unsued block at ID 100 called "Stone Block" in-game, and in the code is called "BlockMallergy.class". This is the incomplete development version of the Brick Furnace, and if you spawn it in and try to either break it out open its inventory, it will crash your game. Additionally, due to a typo in the code the in-game textures do not display correctly.
New Frontier Craft - 1.8.1
Steel sword texture fixed, resources are able to be restored to old Beta 1.7.3 version of themselves using the Legacy Sound Fix, and Stone Bricks have been added (However, in this version it is called the Stone Block).
