NFC v3.5.1 Mods, Addons, & Plugins
This is the central repository for all mods that have been made specifically for, or are intended or verified for use with, New Frontier Craft version v3.5.1.
These are addons that are compatible or made to be used with NFC, not addons that are currently a part of NFC.
Note: As of NFC v3.5.0, NFC bundles in ModLoader, ModLoaderMP, AudioMod, and Forge. Any addons that require these APIs should work with NFC, assuming they don't run into other compatibility issues.
It is highly recommended you install either MultiMC or PrismLauncher for using addons with NFC as it greatly simplifies the installation, bugtesting, and issue reporting process. You can find MultiMC on multimc.org and PrismLauncher on prismlauncher.org/. You can find the instance compatible with these launchers for New Frontier Craft on this page.
Note: Regardless of the name of the mod in regards to what version of NFC it was intended for, if a mod is listed on this page it has been verified to work with v3.5.1

Addon Installation Variants
ModLoader/Forge
These are the simplest mods to install. Installation of these is the same as any Fabric, Forge, Quilt, etc mod for modern versions. Just add the zip/jar of the mod to the mods folder in your .minecraft directory
For MultiMC/PrismLauncher, the mods folder can be accessed from the MultiMC UI in the Loader mods tab, where you can drag the mods directly into the window to load them in. Or, you can navigate to .minecraft folder for the NFC instance and place the files in the mods folder

Jarmods
These are the old style of mods. Installation is accomplished by adding the files to the Minecraft jar
For MultiMC/PrismLauncher, right click the MultiMC instance (the icon with the text) on the main MultiMC window. Click "Edit Instance". A screen will open up showing you the Version tab of the MultiMC instance; this is where you will install the addons from. Navigate to the right side of this window and find the button labeled "Add to Minecraft.jar". In the window that appears, navigate to, select, and click "Open" on the zip of the mod you're attempting to add.
Custom Mod
Special mods that are installed in non-standard ways. Instructions for how to install will be documented
*
Appended to installation types that require additional instructions to install. Any mod noted with a * will either include additional instructions on this page or a readme file on how to install.

Plugin
Server plugins specifically made for New Frontier Craft servers (however often compatible with regular CraftBukkit servers as well). Installed by adding the zip/jar to the plugins folder of your server.
These are multiplayer only by nature, but can be played in "singleplayer" by launching the server on your machine and joining it as localhost from your NFC client (which is about the same as how singleplayer for Mojang's Release 1.3+ works internally)

NFC Compatible Mod List
This forum page up to this point has been primarily dedicated to showing you new mods and modified versions of mods that have been created for use with New Frontier Craft, with only a few exceptions for addons which are heavily recommended, like BetaTweaks.
This list, the Google Docs link, is a more full catalog of mods that are verified for use with NFC. This is split off from the main addons page due to a desire to not pollute this page with every single mod that's verified to work with NFC.
Note, this is currently not well maintained and may be slightly out of date. Documentation will improve over time.
Aesthetics
Contained in this category are graphical tweaks to the game. If it's just a minor aesthetic change, it's here
Shaders (v3.5.0) - Jarmod
Originally made by Daxnitro, Beta 1.7.3 port by Mine_Diver, NFC port by ChessChicken, v3.5.0 update by Vivian
Currently incompatible with NFC v3.5.1_0X. Update coming soon
Lever Dust Disabler (v1.0) - Jarmod
Made by Vivian
Description: De-dusting your levers! (Disables the redstone particle effect added to levers in v3.5.0)
Stuff that's made to make your life easier when playing NFC. Recipe viewers, chat loggers, in-game maps, and featureset extensions that work to extend NFC even more than it already is are what you'll find here.
How Many Items (Pre-Release c27) - ModLoader/Forge
Made by Rek
Description: How Many Items is basically for all intents and purposes a remake of Not Enough Items for Beta 1.7.3, and has most of the same functions that you'd find in that mod. If you want to see the in-game recipes for NFC, have a nice and convenient GUI to cheat in and search for items in the game, or to see some of the secret stuff we don't want you otherwise seeing, I recommend installing this mod
NOTE: This addon currently has a minor issue where it doesn't display the correct Brick Oven recipes. The mod creator Rek just hardcoded those recipes into the mod, rather than making them be pulled from NFC itself. You can find the up-to-date recipes here
MAtmos (r5) - ModLoader/Forge*
Made by Hurricaaane
Password: old
Author Description: MAtmos is a sound atmosphere generator for Minecraft. Whenever you play on any multiplayer server or in singleplayer, it looks at your surroundings and generates natural noises as a soundscape, such as birds chirpling in the forest, rumbling noises near a lava lake or wind gusts on a hilltop. This fills out the perpetual silence of Minecraft.
This zip is not installed directly into the NFC mods folder. You need to first extract the downloaded zip file.
First, drag all the files from the minecraft folder into your NFC .minecraft folder. This will install the required resources for MAtmos to work
Then, to install the mod itself, create a new zip file with everything in the "classfiles" folder (the files inside classfiles should be directly within the newly created zip). Add this new zip to the mods folder in your NFC .minecraft folder, and you'll have installed MAtmos!

BetaTweaks (c43) - ModLoader/Forge*
(Requires custom cfg file)
(GuiAPI needed for in-game configuration, however port of GuiAPI still needs to be made to v3.5)
Made by Rek
Download: www.mediafire.com/file/gbxt58iy20hcf1j
Description: BetaTweaks is a QOL Enhancement mod for Beta 1.7.3. Some of the notable features for NFC users are old storage block textures from pre-Alpha 1.2, the ability to disable the rendering of tall grass and/or dead shrubs, the ability to disable achievement notifications, a scrollable controls menu, and an improved chat window.
On top of that, there’s also the gameplay settings, which allow you to change certain small aspects of your singleplayer gameplay in NFC. This includes things such as turning on wool dropping from sheep when you punch them, allowing for gaps in ladders, punching TNT to ignite it, hoeing grass for seeds, old fashioned Minecart boosters, and elevator boats.

- Place this config file into your config folder

SmartyGUI (ML v2.0) - ModLoader/Forge*
Made by ChessChicken
Description: SmartyGUI - mod that adds a bunch of GUI things to your minecraft!
The tooltips from SmartyGUI are similar to the ones included in NFC v3.4.0, so disable whichever one you please depending on personal preference. To disable the NFC one, set "Held Item Tooltips" to OFF in in the bottom right hand corner of Video Settings. To disable SmartyGUI's tooltips, open the smartygui.properties file the mod generates in the .minecraft folder in your text editor of choice and set the enableTooltip setting to false.
There are a lot of larger mods out there for Minecraft that enhance gameplay. This section is dedicated towards stuff that adds in a large amount of new gameplay features and/or content. If it's a major gameplay expansion that was done by someone else and isn't ever intended to get added to NFC, it'll be here.
IndustrialCraft 2 (v1.337b) - ModLoader/Forge*
(Requires a custom cfg file)
Pre-Made MultiMC Instance: drive.google.com/file/d/1UdSYglwdFqgC4k-vd_3vtI3LURQ5yKc_/view?usp=sharing
Link outdated, v3.5.1_01 variant coming soon
Description: IC2 is a very complex mod that’s existed for a very long time in the Minecraft community. And now, it’s fully functional within New Frontier Craft!
Manual Client Installation:
- Download the client here
- Place the IC2mp.jar file into your NFC .minecraft mods folder
- Place this config file into your config folder
- If clicking the link for the config file opens a webpage full of text, right click the page, click "Save Page As", and make sure it's saved as the exact filename "IC2.cfg", or just IC2 if you don't have file extensions enabled
- Launch the game
Also, it's recommended to install the IC2 NFC Patch. This will allow the NFC and IC2 metals, ingots, and ores to work with one another in their respective machines.
Fun
The stuff in this category isn't really meant to fit any sort of niche during gameplay. Stuff here was created solely for the purpose of having fun with
The Flopper Mod (v1.0) - ModLoader/Forge
Client Download: github.com/VivianTheFox/MC-Addons/raw/main/Beta%201.7.3/FlopperMod%20%5Bv1.0%5D.zip
Description: Inspired by the Flopper block from Minecraft 2.0, this mod adds dispenser-like blocks that, when activated with redstone, will convert and shoot out any and all things put into it into fish!
This mod adds two Flopper variants. First there's the regular Flopper, which will output 1 fish per item/block. And then there's the much more expensive Big Flopper, which can output an infinite amount of fish, alongside one for each block/item placed into it, for a total of two fish per redstone pulse.
This addon is made to be used with both regular Beta 1.7.3 and New Frontier Craft. The Big Flopper is made using osmium blocks in NFC, however if you use this without NFC it's crafted with diamond blocks instead

Plugins
For spicing up multiplayer gameplay. Just add to the plugins folder and play away. Not singleplayer compatible.
The vast majority of plugins for CraftBukkit 1060 will work with the NFC server without issue
nfcMMO (v1.0.1) - Plugin
(No Requirements)
Created by nossr50, updated and patched for NFC by the 2009scape Team
Forum Page: newfrontiercraft.net/thread/187/nfcmmo-1
Description: A version of mcMMO for New Frontier Craft
Experimental Features
One concept moving forward is going to be the idea of experimental features. This is stuff that might or might not ever see the light of day in a real NFC update, but that seem interesting or useful enough to be something players can turn on and off at will.
F3 Mob Tags (v1.2) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Vivian
Download: github.com/VivianTheFox/MC-Addons/raw/main/NFC/NFC%20v3.5/v3.5.0/Addons/F3%20Mob%20Tags%20v1.2.zip
