v4 by MillCzarr for up to Modern 1.4 www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/boxcraft-v2/
Reloaded by AahzChi for up to Modern 1.9 www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/boxcraft-reloaded/
I based this texturepack on the version released for Beta 1.8 (V3), as it is the same version that I used back then. The texturepack was later taken down a very different direction, with most of the textures looking completely different (V4), and eventually it was even handed by MillCzarr to a completely different person named AahzChi (BoxCraft Reloaded). I haven't touched those versions as I didn't like what I saw on the screenshots, so everything in this port is based on the old V3.
I'm not sure where I got the download for V3 anymore. I had originally lost the file and then hunted it down in 2016. I originally found it on the texturepacks page in the Minecraft Forums back in 2011, and I have memories of looking through that site with archive.org so that might be where I got it again. Nowadays a simple Google search only reveals downloads for V4 and Reloaded, so because of that I have included a MediaFire link for the unmodified V3, reuploaded by myself.
I tried to make all of the new blocks in the same simplistic style of the original, and used some of the existing textures as reference. For example, the version of the pack I have was made for Beta 1.8, so it has the stone brick texture. I used that as a base to make all of the other stone bricks, and it worked pretty well I think. I tried to keep the metal blocks as simple as possible while still maintaining their uniqueness, so because of that most of them are just two or four colors. I think there is room for improvement on some of these blocks so if anyone has some advice, I wouldn't mind hearing it.
This project was started way back in 2017 after Space released his own Legacypack for the mod. I felt inspired by his work to try to port my old favorite pack, but after messing around with paint.net for a while and making some of the textures, I felt overwhelmed and gave up. I picked it back up in 2019, started over from scratch and made a lot of progress with the terrain.png, but then took a break and never made the metal blocks because of thinking it would be too difficult. Then in 2020 I felt inspired by Nein99's own texturepack and decided to finally finish this, and here we are now. I guess I'm a master at procrastinating.
