Mods & Addons for NFC 1.8.5_01 (v3.1.1)
This is the central repository for all mods that have been made specifically for, or are intended or verified for use with, New Frontier Craft version 1.8.5_01.
For all of these mods, installation is accomplished through the classic method of installing mods; by adding them to the jar. For the Mojang launcher this means cramming the classes inside the jar manually. I however strongly recommend using MultiMC if you're going to be installing any mods for NFC
For MultiMC, jarmods are installed via the "Add to Minecraft.jar" button, with you selecting the relative zips that you're installing in the window that pops up.
You can find MultiMC on multimc.org and the MultiMC instance for NFC on this page newfrontiercraft.net/thread/124/nfc-legacy-downloads-1-02 if you haven't already installed it
Note: Regardless of the name of the mod in regards to what version of NFC it was intended for, if a mod is listed on this page it has been verified to work with 1.8.5_01.

ModLoader v4.2 for NFC 1.8.5_01 (v1.2)
(No Requirements)

Decided to make a quick little port of the most up-to-date version of ModLoader that exists for NFC to the old version 1.8.5_01. Don't be confused by the version tags. The version of ModLoader this is based off of is v4.2 for ModLoader, however this is v1.2 of the port to 1.8.5_01.
Technical Notes:
Fully compatible with old 1.8.5_01 texturepacks, but just like with the latest version you'll need to copy the items.png file from the texturepack, rename it items2.png, and copy it to the NFC directory. As with this installed all NFC texture rendering moves to the NFC directory, leaving space in the Vanilla items.png file for mods to slot their textures into.
This addon makes room for 19 open terrain.png slots in the textures. Any mod that requires more than that won't work with NFC.
Compatibility will be a little different due to internal differences between this version of NFC and the most up-to-date version, but at a base level this should work with most simple stuff.
ID Resolver
(Requires ModLoader & GuiAPI)
Created by ShaRose, modified for NFC 1.8.5_01 by Vivian

Solves the issue of ID conflicts within NFC alongside other mods. You will still run commonly into issues of running out of IDs though, so don't expect this to be the magical solution for playing IC2 and NFC at the same time.
ModLoaderMP
(Requires ModLoader [duh])
Created by ScottyDoesKnow and Jamioflan
Just a simple port of ModLoaderMP to NFC 1.8.5_01
GuiAPI
(No Requirements)Created by ShaRose
Download: github.com/ShaRose/GuiAPI/raw/releases/GuiAPI0.11.0-1.7.zip
A dependency for certain mods. Allows for in-game mod configuration. Unmodified, this is just a link to the standard version for Beta 1.7.3, as it's fully compatible with this version of New Frontier Craft

Fixes the broken gem helmet recipes and the textures and names of the osmium armor. Also ships with the item texture fix I shipped with ModLoader, so the weird texture offset issue with NFC 1.8.5_01 will go away with this installed(No Requirements)

OptiFine for NFC 1.8.5_01
(No Requirements)
Credits to SpaceFrontier for finding the trick to make this work back in 2017
Download: www.mediafire.com/file/4klkxzhaujgqf78/OptiFine+for+NFC+1.8.5_01.zip/file
Removes cv.class (RenderBlocks.java) in order to function properly with New Frontier Craft 1.8.5_01. Due to that, certain functionality of OptiFine won't work properly. But overall, this should be stable and function perfectly fine with New Frontier Craft.
Note, this is just a convenient packaging for this old trick. Most other versions of OptiFine for Beta 1.7.3 should work when doing the same thing. However, any version that edits Minecraft.class will not work.
