A fun little pack I created after the people over on OmniArchive managed to find an old version of the game with some of these old textures. I decided to take a bunch of these early textures that Notch made and adapted them to fit into the aesthetic of Beta Minecraft. So unlike every other "Classic" texturepack, this one isn't filled to the brim with neon green grass and bright textures. Overall actually, the textures are darker on average than the ones in Beta normally are.

Some improvements have been made in this second version of the pack, with some of the textures fleshing together better and the overall experience of using the pack being a bit better. I highly recommend installing version 2 over version 1.

Note: Despite what you might expect, this pack actually ends up looking a bit darker and more gloomy most of the time than Beta naturally does because of the way the different colors work together without the alpha grass everywhere. So don't go into this expecting a bright happy fun Alpha pack.
