Discovered Minecraft in the last half of 2011.
Got the Minecraft PC Gamer demo in the last half of 2011.
I enjoyed the game and still wanted the full version.
Got Minecraft for my 10th birthday in 2012.
Joined my first Minecraft server in 2012 but I don't remember what it was called. All I remember is that the spawn seemed big and that there was a giant tree that had been artificially built.
Got my first Minecraft skin in 2012.
Changed my skin from some dude with a gray jacket to the ice creeper skin I still use to this day.
When Release 1.2.4 came out I created my first good Minecraft world that I played on for two years but sadly I ruined it by turning cheats on.
In 2013 I create my first Youtube account and upload random Minecraft videos.
In 2015 I made a new world and played it over the summer but I ruined it when I turned cheats on.
Didn't play Minecraft again until 2017 but it just didn't feel the same.
Modern Minecraft felt different from what I remembered.
I'd go to make a house but my personal standards had increased so I didn't find my own creations very appealing.
I even tried going back to the first version of Minecraft I had ever played and it felt very different as well and not in a good way.
In the last half of 2017 I tried playing Alpha and Beta and ended up liking them a lot more but every time I went to build a house I was still never satisfied with how they turned out.
Before I stopped using my old internet name I discovered this mod through the Youtube channel but didn't attempt to play or interact with the community.
I made a Beta 1.7.3 world called Overhang in January of 2018 that was incredible until I felt dissatisfied with my house.
This went on and on but I still had the urge to create a new Minecraft world as good as my New 1.2.4 world.
Finally I created a world called King Luke's Imagination for Beta 1.7.3. This is the only video record that exists of it.
For the first time since 2015 I had created a home that I was content with. Even after completing the house I had a swirl of new ideas that I couldn't wait to turn into a reality. Things were going quite well with this world until I went on a mining trip I will never forget.
Far from my house I had discovered a massive cave system. I returned home, geared up, and for over an hour I mined. I had managed to gather a whole three stacks of iron. Eventually I broke into level twenty and below. I found myself in a cavern bubbling with magma. This would prove to be the least of my worries when a skeleton appeared out of nowhere. I quickly engaged the threat in pickaxe to bow combat. The first shot wounded me but I persisted. I managed to land a hit but the second shot was mortal. I fell into the lava getting toasted instantly. When I woke up I immediately raced back but my diamond pickaxe, all that iron, and my time was gone. Like any normal person would do I rage quit before permanently deleting the world.
Many months prior I had discovered a mod for my favorite version of Minecraft. I didn't know much about it other than it being under development and the strange new blocks that were visible in the trailer. At the time I didn't have the drive or the ability to install this mod so I wouldn't yet be able to begin a new frontier in Minecraft. I eventually forgot about the mod but it lurked in the back of my mind calling out for me. I wanted to learn more but without the name of the mod it seemed I would never see it again.
As if it were meant to be I dug around my old Youtube channel's liked videos purely out of curiosity when I saw a familiar grass block. It wasn't as familiar as the classic Minecraft grass block but I knew I had seen it before. 'That's right!' I thought. It was called New Frontier Craft! I still had a drive to play Minecraft but I didn't want to trudge through the same version and repeat everything I had just accomplished again. And at the time I certainly didn't wish to touch modern. This mod would fix that by expanding the possibilities of beta.
I followed the steps provided in installing the NFC launcher and became frustrated when the launcher proved to be broken. Thankfully Zowja had created a tutorial for a manual install which worked like a charm. I loaded the title screen fascinated by the new music but I was subsequently confused by the lack of sound effects. I fiddled around for what felt like an hour until realizing I had left out the resources folder. Oops.
Almost two years later mixed with a lot of dedication this is what I've cooked up on my single player world. Thanks for creating the mod Zowja and for continuing it Roadhog and Logan!
