NFC v3.4.2 Mods, Addons, & Plugins
This is the central repository for all mods that have been made specifically for, or are intended or verified for use with, New Frontier Craft version v3.4.2.
It is highly recommended you install MultiMC if you want to use addons with NFC, as it greatly simplifies the installation, bugtesting, and issue reporting process. You can find MultiMC on multimc.org and the MultiMC instance for NFC at the bottom of this page if you haven't already installed it
Note: Regardless of the name of the mod in regards to what version of NFC it was intended for, if a mod is listed on this page it has been verified to work with v3.4.2.

Addon Installation Variants
Jarmods
These are the old style of mods. Installation is accomplished by adding the files to the Minecraft jar
For the Mojang Launcher, installation of these mods is started by first finding the NFC jar in the folder of the same name inside the versions folder, which is located in your .minecraft folder in AppData/Roaming. Then, open the jar with your file archiver of choice (7zip, WinRAR, WinZip, Windows Explorer, etc...) and drag in the class files and folders from the base directory of the zip (unless otherwise specified by the file structure, instructions, readme, or description) into the jar
For MultiMC, start by right clicking the MultiMC instance (the icon with the text) on the main MultiMC window. Then click "Edit Instance". A screen will open up showing you the Version tab of the MultiMC instance. This is where you will install the addons from. Navigate to the right side of this window and find the button labeled "Add to Minecraft.jar". In the window that appears, navigate to, select, and click "Open" on the zip of the mod you're attempting to add.
Note: In some cases, the zip you download will not be the same file you need to add to the jar, and you'll need to first unzip it, and then zip back up the proper directory within the file. If this is the case, there will be a * on the installation label letting you know this.
ModLoader
These are the simplest mods to install. Installation of these is the same as any Fabric or Forge mod for modern versions, just add the zip/jar of the mod to the mods folder in your .minecraft directory
For the Mojang Launcher, the mods folder can be found in the .minecraft folder in AppData/Roaming. If there is no mods folder in the .minecraft directory, create one. Place the mods here.
For MultiMC, the mods folder can be accessed from the MultiMC UI in the Loader mods tab, where you can drag the mods directly into the window to load them in. Or, you can navigate to .minecraft folder for the NFC instance and place the files in the mods folder
ModLoader + Forge
For mods that also require Forge. Instructions are the same as for ModLoader mods
Custom Mod
These are special mods that are installed in non-standard ways. Clarification towards the instructions will be included with the mod.
Plugin
Server plugins specifically made for New Frontier Craft servers. Installed by adding the zip/jar to the plugins folder of your server.
Multiplayer only by nature, but can be played in "singleplayer" by launching the server on your machine and joining it as localhost from your NFC client (which is about the same as how Mojang Release 1.3+ works)
The Essentials
These will be the core mods that most other mods will require in order to be installed. If a mod needs another mod to be installed first in order to work, it'll be on this list.
ModLoaderNFC (v4.6.1) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Risugami, ported by Logan
Includes Risugami's AudioMod & ScottyDoesKnow's ModLoaderMP
Download: github.com/New-Frontier-Craft/NFC-Addons/raw/main/NFC%20v3.4.2/Addons/ModLoaderNFC%20v4.6.1.zip
Description: This is a port of ModLoader from Beta 1.7.3, patched to work with NFC v3.4.2. Mileage will vary on compatibility with other mods; most large things will crash without more heavyweight tweaks.
ModLoader for NFC is not a magic bullet that'll solve every compatibility issue with standard Beta 1.7.3 mods. Lots of mods interface with the normal Minecraft code through ModLoader and expect it to work one way, and when it doesn't because NFC changed how that part of the code works it'll likely either not work correctly or just straight up crash. However, it's a decent solution and will be improved as time progresses and better tweaks and solutions are thought of to improve compatibility.

NFC Compatible Mod List
This forum page up to this point has been primarily dedicated to showing you new mods and modified versions of mods that have been created for use with New Frontier Craft, with only a few exceptions for addons which are heavily recommended, like BetaTweaks.
This list, the Google Docs link, is a more full catalog of mods that are verified for use with NFC. This is split off from the main addons page due to a desire to not pollute this page with every single mod that's verified to work with NFC.
Aesthetics
Contained in this category are graphical tweaks to the game. If it's just a minor aesthetic change, it's here
GLSL Shaders (v1.1.1) - Jarmod
(Requires ModLoader)
Made by Daxnitro, ported to Beta 1.7.3 by Mine_Diver, and subsequently ported to NFC by ChessChicken
Description: A version of modern GLSL shaders for New Frontier Craft! Unlike previous ports of shaders to NFC, this version features fully functional dynamic shadows.
Shaderpacks made for Release 1.3, as well as versions bordering that, should work with this addon. However, your mileage may vary. It's recommended to stick to the shaderpacks recommended on the forum page. You can configure the shaderpack to enable and disable various effects by editing the fsh & vsh files in a text editor.
By default, waving plants are disabled, as there's a bug where unintended blocks get the effect applied to them. If you're alright with that, it's recommended you use Mine_Diver's or Mango's shaders instead.
Shaderpack support to switch between multiple shaders in-game & the ability to toggle them on and off will come in future versions of the port, as will fixed shaderpacks that overall function better.

Dynamic GUI Brightness (v1.0) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Sumsero
Description: Simple (but tremendously important) addon which adjusts the brightness of interfaces such as the inventory, crafting table, books, etc. depending on your current light level!
Enhancements
Stuff that's made to make your life easier when playing NFC. Recipe viewers, chat loggers, in-game maps, and featureset extensions that work to extend NFC even more than it already is are what you'll find here.
How Many Items (Pre-Release c27) - ModLoader
(Requires ModLoader)
Made by Rek
Description: How Many Items is basically for all intents and purposes a remake of Not Enough Items for Beta 1.7.3, and has most of the same functions that you'd find in that mod. If you want to see the in-game recipes for NFC, have a nice and convenient GUI to cheat in and search for items in the game, or to see some of the secret stuff we don't want you otherwise seeing, I recommend installing this mod ;)

MAtmos (r5) - ModLoader*
(Requires ModLoader)
Made by Hurricaaane
Password: old
Author Description: MAtmos is a sound atmosphere generator for Minecraft. Whenever you play on any multiplayer server or in singleplayer, it looks at your surroundings and generates natural noises as a soundscape, such as birds chirpling in the forest, rumbling noises near a lava lake or wind gusts on a hilltop. This fills out the perpetual silence of Minecraft.

BetaTweaks (c43) - ModLoader*
(Requires ModLoader, GuiAPI Recommended)
Made by Rek
Download: www.mediafire.com/file/gbxt58iy20hcf1j
Description: BetaTweaks is a QOL Enhancement mod for Beta 1.7.3 It adds in many new little tweaks to the game that are able to accomplish various things. Some of the notable features for NFC users are things like old storage block textures from pre-Alpha 1.2, the ability to disable the rendering of tall grass and/or dead shrubs, the ability to disable achievement notifications, a scrollable controls menu, an improved chat window.
On top of that, there’s also the gameplay settings, which allow you to change certain small aspects of your singleplayer gameplay in NFC. This includes things such as turning on wool dropping from sheep when you punch them, allowing for gaps in ladders, punching TNT to ignite it, hoeing grass for seeds, old fashioned Minecart boosters, and elevator boats. All of these are older quirks of how the earlier versions of Minecraft Beta used to work, and with BetaTweaks you can experience these in New Frontier Craft. Make sure to double check these features upon installing the mod though, in case you don’t want some of these features enabled on your world.

Installation Instructions
After installing, go into the BetaTweaks.cfg file in the config folder of your New Frontier Craft instance/Minecraft directory. Then, go to the disableEntityRendererOverride option and change the false to a true.
Likewise, turn off Inventory Dragging under “draggingShortcuts”, as various interactions between this feature of BetaTweaks and NFC can cause the game to crash.
Follow the steps above. If you don't, random things in-game won't work correctly and you will not have a fun time
Also, I recommend you turn off Server List, Quit Game Button, ESC Menu Texture Pack Button, and the FOV Slider, as all are already part of NFC natively

Chat Logger (v1.2) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Download: Upcoming...
Description: A quasi-port of the modern system which Minecraft uses where it outputs the things said in chat into the Minecraft logs. Matches the same format of the modern game, that being what is seen in the attached screenshot.
This is great for archiving conversations and comments that you really like. Preventing you from having to constantly worry about needing to grab a screenshot of what's being discussed.

SmartyGUI (ML v2.0) - ModLoader*
(Requires ModLoader)
Made by ChessChicken
Description: SmartyGUI - mod that adds a bunch of GUI things to your minecraft!
The tooltips from SmartyGUI are similar to the ones included in NFC v3.4.0, so disable whichever one you please depending on personal preference. To disable the NFC one, set "Held Item Tooltips" to OFF in in the bottom right hand corner of Video Settings. To disable SmartyGUI's tooltips, open the smartygui.properties file the mod generates in the .minecraft folder in your text editor of choice and set the enableTooltip setting to false.

Expansions and Big Mods
There are a lot of larger mods out there for Minecraft that enhance gameplay. This section is dedicated towards stuff that adds in a large amount of new gameplay features and/or content. If it's a major gameplay expansion that was done by someone else and isn't ever intended to get added to NFC, it'll be here.
BetterThanWolves (v2.82) - Jarmod & ModLoader*
(Requires ModLoader and the Texture Hypercompressor)
Made by Flowerchild, patched for use with NFC by Logan
Description: It's BetterThanWolves, patched up and redistributed for use with New Frontier Craft v3.4.1! Should be fully macOS and Linux compatible now.

IndustrialCraft 2 (v1.337b) - ModLoader + Forge*
(Requires ModLoader, Reforged, and a custom cfg file)
Client Download: www.mediafire.com/file/puuqsn6sk0qxgze/IndustrialCraft%25C2%25B2-client_v1.337b.jar/file
Server Download: www.mediafire.com/file/6w5qo3nsnhmlc5l/IndustrialCraft%25C2%25B2-bukkit1060_v1.337b.jar/file
Pre-Made MultiMC Instance: www.mediafire.com/file/rpywp7kcsdzrtht/NFC+IC2.zip/file
Description: IC2 is a very complex mod that’s existed for a very long time in the Minecraft community. And now, it’s fully functional within New Frontier Craft!

Client Installation:
- Install ModLoader and Reforged
- Place IC2mp into your NFC .minecraft mods folder
- Place this config file into your config folder
- Launch the game
Server Installation
- Apply the Forge XDelta Patch over a regular CraftBukkit 1060 Server file
- Extract the IC2mp server zip file and add all the files within to the patched NFC + Reforged server jar
- Place this config file into your config folder
- Launch the server using the proper syntax for your OS
Also, it's recommended to install the IC2 NFC Patch, found at the bottom of the linked page. This will allow the NFC and IC2 metals, ingots, and ores to work with one another in their respective machines.
Upgraded Furnaces (v1.0a) - Jarmod
Made by ToufouMaster
Description: Adds a wide selection of new furnaces to the game, made of all the various ore storage blocks. These are powered by redstone and their speed is determined by their tier. Uranium, Magnetite, and Tungsten also feature special abilities

HungerNFC (v1.3) - Jarmod
Download: github.com/LO6AN/NFC-Addons/raw/main/NFC%20v3.4.2/Addons/HungerNFC%20%5Bv3.4.2%5D%20%5Bv1.3%5D.zip
Description: This addon only adds the Hunger System, alongside new tooltips that show the saturation and food restoration offered by different food types. Food doesn't stack any differently from Vanilla Beta/NFC, there are no eating animations (yet), and this addon doesn't contain any other components of Beta 1.8 (like their horrific worldgen). It's just Hunger and the way it ties into food, sprinting, and health mechanics.
This is client-side only at the moment, and will automatically toggle itself off while logged onto the server. So there's no need to restart the game and disable and enable the addon constantly when logging onto the NFC Server. It'll all just work without any need for additional configuration.
Credit to the AppleSkin devs for the texture used to display saturation. If you'd personally prefer to play without that additional indicator, just toggle it off in Video Settings. Otherwise, credit goes to Mojang for the Adventure Update code that was ported to NFC for this addon.

Fun
The stuff in this category isn't really meant to fit any sort of niche during gameplay. Stuff here was created solely for the purpose of having fun with

You Are The Fox (v2.0) - Jarmod
(Requires ModLoader)
Model and texture originally sourced from DrZhark, mod created entirely by Logan
Client Download: github.com/New-Frontier-Craft/NFC-Addons/raw/main/NFC%20v3.4.0/Addons/YATF/YATF%20v2.0%20%5BNFC%20v3.4.0%5D.zip
Currently only exists as an MP compatible version, and therefore disallows you from going through 1 block openings
Description: Turns your player into a fox! Changes the player to be only one block tall to match, letting you slip through smaller openings and the like. Also, blocks, items, and tools are held in the mouth of the fox, as it'd be silly for a fox to hold a tool in its paw
If it wasn't clear, this mod is heavily inspired by the YATC mod by Rotten194
The skinfix has been disabled, as normal skins won't work with the fox model. This fox skin can be edited via the fox.png file in the mob directory in your jar or texturepack zip

The Flopper Mod (v1.0) - ModLoader + Forge
(Requires ModLoader & Reforged)
(Requires ModLoader & Reforged)
Description: Inspired by the Flopper block from Minecraft 2.0, this mod adds dispenser-like blocks that, when activated with redstone, will convert and shoot out any and all things put into it into fish!
This mod adds two Flopper variants. First there's the regular Flopper, which will output 1 fish per item/block. And then there's the much more expensive Big Flopper, which can output an infinite amount of fish, alongside one for each block/item placed into it, for a total of two fish per redstone pulse.
This addon is made to be used with both regular Beta 1.7.3 and New Frontier Craft. The Big Flopper is made using osmium blocks in NFC, however if you use this without NFC it's crafted with diamond blocks instead

nfcMMO (v1.0.1) - Plugin
(No Requirements)

GitLab Page: gitlab.com/2011craft/nfcspout
Description: A version of the Spout API for New Frontier Craft
Experimental Features
One concept moving forward is going to be the idea of experimental features. This is stuff that might or might not ever see the light of day in a real NFC update, but that seem interesting or useful enough to be something players can turn on and off at will.
LilypadQA Fragile Mode (v3.4.2) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Description: In this difficulty, the player is limited to only a half heart of health, the UI is modified to only display the one heart with a new texture, and there's a tracker that'll keep track of how many days you've stayed alive in Fragile mode on the death screen.
To enable it in-game. Just flip the difficulty setting past hard to "Fragile" and your heart will turn into glass and you'll die in one hit. Good luck! If you wanna turn it off, just flip the difficulty setting back into the normal range.

Note: When initially constructing this addon, I had the name of Lilypad's difficulty mode mixed up and thought it was "Fragile" instead of "Frail". However, they mean the same thing, and I don't plan to change the name, as I think Fragile sounds much better.

Extreme Render Distance (v1.0) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Description: Adds an extra render distance option to the game, boosting the chunk rendering distance from 16 chunks (Far) to 32 (Extreme). This feature will be a native part of v3.5.0.

Compatible with v3.4.0 - v3.4.1_0X
Interesting Materials (v1.1) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by FluxUnderscore, a.k.a. Pelinal
Author Description: Simple addon to NFC to give two pre-existing materials - silver and brass - more situational usage. Now ported to NFC 3.4! Silver armor now protects extra against zombie/pigman attacks, and, in addition, silver tools do double damage to undead (zombies/pigmen/skeletons). Brass armor now reflects damage against mobs, and brass tools do extra knockback! Also, try using hoes on living things

Compatible with v3.4.0 - v3.4.1_0X
Torch Slabs (v1.0) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)

Wide Texturepack Slots (v1.0) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Download: github.com/New-Frontier-Craft/NFC-Addons/raw/main/NFC%20v3.4.0/Addons/Wide%20Texturepack%20Slots.zip
Description: Makes the slots on the texturepack menu wider, letting more text fit within them.

Also, does some internal rewrites to let slot width and the position of the scrollbar to be redefined from menu to menu.
Written Book Tooltips (v1.1) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Description: Let's you view the author and title of books in your tooltip while hovering over a written book. Will be added in v3.4.2 or v3.5.0, depending on which comes first.
Currently non-functional in multiplayer. Random crashes may occur, so use caution when installing. The reason for these crashes is currently unknown, and this feature will be postponed until said issue is sorted out.

Needs v3.4.2 Update
Debug Creative Inventory (v1.0) - Jarmod
(No Requirements)
Made by Logan
Description: Adds all the debug blocks normally hidden from view into the creative inventory.
This mod is also bundled with a small addon that allows you to view IDs in the inventory, which'll probably be implemented into native NFC with a toggle somewhere or another in a future version. To disable this feature, remove id.class before installation.

Static Liquid Side Textures (v1.1) - Jarmod
