v2.0 (NFC 3.4.0): www.mediafire.com/file/fyl3uxq8gpokujy/es_CL_2021-05-31.lang/file NOTE: As of 3.4.0, this translation is included by default in the mod's language packs!
v1.0 (NFC 1.8.7_02): www.mediafire.com/file/1tohb700qobzwlg/NFC+Translation+es_CL+v1.zip/file
For NFC 3.4.0:
NOTE: Version 2.0 is already included in the game by default
- Download the .lang file from the link above
- Open the game and click on the world icon in the main menu
- Click on "Open languages folder"
- Move the .lang file into the folder
For NFC 1.8.7:
- Download the zip file from the link above
- Open MultiMC, select your NFC instance and go into Edit Instance
- Select the Version tab and click on "Add to Minecraft.jar"
- Find the zip file, select it and click on Open
- Make sure the box next to it is checked and launch the game
Most upper case letters with an accent mark (ÁÍÓÚ) don't work in game as of 1.8.7_02, so I replaced them with lower case. This includes Onyx (Ónix).Fixed in 3.4.0
- The default texture pack's name and description can't be translated in 1.8.7_02 and in 3.4.0.
- The current version of this translation doesn't include splashes.
I'm not sure if I should translate them.
- Splashes are still not included as of 3.4.0, but I'm working on them and they will be added to this page in the future.
This translation took a lot of inspiration from the different spanish translations in Minecraft 1.14 for all of the non-NFC blocks, items and menus, and also from Minecraft 1.2.5 for the video settings, achievements and statistics. I basically took whatever seemed best to me from each of the translations and mixed them together to create this. I tried to keep it somewhat neutral with words that any spanish speaker can understand, but I probably still used some words that are specific to the way us chileans speak. Because of this, we'll be referring to the file as es_CL, but again, keep in mind this is not an exact copy of modern Minecraft's es_CL translation.
The main reason for not simply taking a single modern spanish translation and working off of that is just that I'm the only active spanish speaking NFC player as far as I know, and there were a lot of things I didn't like about each of the translations. So since I'm probably gonna be the only one using it, I figured I might as well change it to my liking.
Since this is the first release, it's possible that there will be multiple errors in spelling. If you find any, please let me know and I'll fix them as soon as possible. And if you have any suggestions for changes to any words, just tell me and we can discuss it. Speaking of, I'm unsure of the translations for Cross-Cut and T-Cut Stone Bricks. For now I made them "corte de cruz" and "corte de T" based on the fact that I've heard people refer to phillips screwdrivers as "destornillador de cruz", so I figured it might make sense. But like I said, I'm still not sure if that was the correct choice, so if any spanish speaking players read this, I would like to hear your thoughts.
Also, if you wish to make your own spanish translation based off of my own, feel free.
If you're wondering why certain words like Redstone aren't translated, it's because of this document I found that asks players not to change them: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uqg6mPo6iIQOuqcUsAGXgN-glUEhM1bCKWzcGT6MDRA/pubhtml?gid=0&single=true
This list doesn't include Slime, but for whatever reason none of the 1.14 spanish translations chose to modify that word, so I followed their example and left it as it is.
